On April 14–15, the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA), in collaboration with India-based TradePass, hosted the "World Financial Innovation Series Vietnam 2025 – WFIS 2025" conference.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Mr. Praveen Venu, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of TradePass, remarked that Vietnam’s banking and financial sector is undergoing a major leap in its digital transformation journey. This is reflected in the increasing participation and presence of banks, fintech companies, and digital solution providers at this year’s event.

According to Mr. Praveen Venu, in today’s economy, where digitalization permeates every sector, transformation is no longer just a trend — it is a prerequisite for any financial institution aiming to survive and achieve sustainable growth.

“Digital banking, AI in risk management, transaction security, and customer experience optimization are among the top priorities and core topics discussed at WFIS 2025. This demonstrates a growing interest from both financial service operators and technology providers,” said the TradePass representative.

Observing the strong presence of digital banking across Southeast Asia, Mr. Venu emphasized Vietnam’s tremendous potential for digital banking development. Not only is it a promising market, but Vietnam also benefits from a young, tech-savvy population and a rising demand for digital financial services.

“We’re seeing a healthy balance between digital and traditional banking in Vietnam. The journey ahead is bound to bring even greater impact, particularly with the integration and implementation of cutting-edge technologies,” Mr. Venu shared, expressing his optimism and confidence in the future growth of digital banking in the Vietnamese market.

The TradePass representative also extended heartfelt thanks to the Vietnam Banks Association for their collaboration in organizing the event.

“I am deeply grateful for the support from the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA), especially Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hùng, who has consistently supported our event over the years. With the backing of VNBA, we have been able to scale up the conference year after year, attracting hundreds of top-tier service providers in the banking and finance sector,” Mr. Venu added.
